The first official day of school for the Clark Public School District was Thursday September 7th. Everyone from the Senior Class of 2018 to the incoming Freshman Class of 2021 was excited to get started. Getting the year off with great school spirit the Fall Pep Rally charged up students at the end of the day on September 8th.
Mr. David Fosco once again was called upon to serve as MC for the event. "I've been doing this a really long time, but it's still one of my favorite events, especially when the weather is nice like today," said Mr. Fosco. Students and teachers crowded the bleachers to cheer on their hometown high school teams. The event began with and was peppered throughout with musical cheers from ALJs award winning marching band. The cheerleaders then took the field to show off this year's half time show. They also performed several times throughout the event. Throughout the afternoon Crusaders from the Field Hockey, Girls' and Boys' Soccer, Tennis, Volleyball, Gymnastics, Cross Country, and, of course Football took the field as the student body cheered on their teams. That night Crusader football opened the season with a tremendous win of 41 to 3 against New Providence. On Friday September 15th, they will go up against Bernards at 7:00 pm in Bernards. Free schedules for all teams are available in the main office.
