The first place winners of the gingerbread house contest win a Pompeii pizza party! Congrats Annalisa ., Jenna, Matt, and Cailee. The seniors are now going against the teachers: Mr. Barry, Mr. Denucci, Ms. Wronsku, Mr. Delconte, Mr. Bain, Mrs. Skirde, Mrs. Bundi, and Mr. Kenyon!
The seniors put up a good fight, but the teachers won in a tough loss for the seniors. Senior Vs Junior tug of war! Seniors: Ryan, Franco, Brett, Joey, Gianna, Janelle, Mia, Tatiana, Gina and Payton.
Juniors: Omar, Dylan, Eddie, Nick, Amy, Tara, Mackenzie, Yasmine and Victoria. The Seniors win! Senior captain Ray Williamson, dressed as Santa is announcing the boys basketball team! Next game January 5 against Cranford!!

The freshmen are wearing green, sophomores wearing red, juniors wearing red, and seniors are wearing crazy Christmas apparel! More classes are coming in as the gym is full of spirited Crusaders. The seniors are definitely the loudest, being assisted by multiple air horns. The sophomores have the most spirit, with the majority of them wearing red! The cheerleaders are warming up and the room is beginning to fill up with underclass men! Everyone is getting pumped up! Jen Casilino, Carissa Vouno, Corinne Pencinger, and Christie Bove are bringing out the cheerleading squad!
For the first time in ALJ history, the school newspaper (AKA Crusader Today Blog) is reporting live from the scene. Students, teachers, staff, and coaches are gathering in the gym as the event begins, enjoying the sound productions of Elegant Music Group #emgweddings
Students, teachers and staff continued to delight in the merryment of spirit week as they decorated themselves as gifts and candy canes throughout the week. The creative juices really got going when challened for "dressing like a gift." Students wore everything from cardboard boxes to bows and tags. Meanwhile on Thursday, sticky candycanes and striped sweaters, shirts and pants were everywhere at ALJ. Ms. Bukoweic's, one of the advisors to Student Council said, "It's so exciting to see ALJ show some school spirit." The festivities will culminate in Friday's Pep Rally.
