ALJ goes pink for October Pink Out

Students and staff donned their pinkiest outfits on October 28th in support of SMACs Breast Cancer Awareness charities. Students donated to have their faces painted, while teachers around the district donated $5 and wore pink and jeans in support. At the end of the school day, SMAC members held a bake sale to raise additional funds for their charities.

We just wanted to thank everyone that helped us celebrate SMAC's 2nd Annual PINK OUT. From wearing pink to getting your face painted to participating in jeans day to decorating your door or buying a baked good, students, faculty and staff came together and raised $1,900 dollars for the Susan Satriano Scholarship Foundation. Mr. Satriano said he was, "blown away" by ALJ's generosity. What an amazing team we all make when we come together!
