By Julia Tyrie--Courtesy of TapIntoClark.com CLARK, NJ - On Nov. 30, 2016, the Arthur L. Johnson High School Key Club successfully made 1,160 sandwiches to give to the homeless. The sandwich making event draws a big crowd, increasing every year. This year broke the record, with the most amount of people and sandwiches ever made.
The many jars of peanut butter and jelly were all used, with clubbers creating the sandwiches at a rapid pace. The group assembled for a photo right after the sandwiches were made and ready to be shipped to the Elizabeth Coalition for the Homeless. Key Club president Hart Tecson enjoyed seeing all the progress being made. He also hoped that this event would continue to grow for next year as well, and knowing the success this year, probably will.
