Cheers were heard from the football field during halftime on Friday, September 22nd at Veteran’s Night as the Arthur L. Johnson Crusader Marching Band performed and dedicated this year’s field show titled, “Noble Hearts.” The show is a tribute to those who served and are serving in the Armed Forces. It tells the story of a soldier from enlistment, to boot camp, to serving in war to coming home.
Student Dana commented, “It was such an honor to perform this show for the Veterans. Seeing them cheer and enjoying the performance was so rewarding.” Director Rachel Bollaro said, “It was such a wonderful experience for the members of the ALJ Marching Band and staff to see the positive reaction to the performance. Several attendees spoke with me about how they enjoyed the performance and appreciated the dedication of the September 22nd performance.” The ALJ Marching Band’s performs at most ALJ home games and continues to compete throughout the band season.
